Switchyard Festival Big success

CFFA local 2812 paricipated as a vendor at the 2011 Festival at the Switchyad. We sold turkey legs, sausages, french fires and drinks. We sold almost everything we had. We will donate all profits to charity. Big thanks to all those that were involved. The Festival was a huge success and the weather was great.

The election for Mayor and City council has passed and we won one, tied one and lost one. Matthew Marchant won the Mayor race, in place 4 Bob Garza is in a run off, and Dr. Desai lost making a run off by less then 60 votes. We are still supporting Bob Garza and assisting with his campaign. The run off election is June 18th, with early voting going on right now.
The CFR has hired seven new recruits. As of right now, the 6 we have met with have all joined the CFFA and have signed up for the top level PAC! Way to go guys! Please welcome these new guys if you see them around the station.
Private EMS is still being considered; we are meeting with the Council and Mayor in the coming weeks and will keep you posted.
We made a good showing at burn camp this year! Heard it was a good time once again. Thank You Watson for organizing the trip and cook out this year.
